Tony Hawk's: Downhill Jam/DS/ ***--/ 3/5

Ok, to start this one off, i love tony hawk's games, but when you put it on a "Nintendo DS" and take the realistic graphics away from the console versions of Tony Hawk's games, you get "Downhill Jam". I know that Graphics on DS games aren't as great as the consoles games, but it seemed like they could of done better. This game has it highs and its lows, one of the highs would be that you can create your charicter and each location has fun and cahlenging chalenges, one of the lows would be that its too easy and when you create your board the touch screen is a little too touchy and you get confused. if you've ever played previeous Tony Hawk games, you should know that every level is a free roaming land and you have to find challenges and work your way to the end of the game, in "Downhill Jam", each level is a dowhill race, and you choose the challenges on a menu before you enter the level, so you have to play the level per each challenge.there are 6 worlds, they are, in order, San Francisco, Edinburgh, Kilimanjaro, Hong Kong, Rio, and the hoover dam. the levels are fun, but the game gets boring after a while. there are a number of super tricks for each trick, manual, air and so on. you activate them by touching 1 of three symbols on the bottom screen, all together, i give this game a 3/5, beacause it gets boring after a while. look out for my next review.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass ***** 5/5

Its been a while since I've done a reveiew, so i'm doing this one on "The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass". Ok, So we all know that this is the sequel to "The Legend of Zelda" Wind Waker" for the Nintendo Gamecube, The big differance between the two is that "Phantom Hourglass" is for the nintendo DS, which makes it really fun since the DS has a touch screen that you control the little "cute Like" Link that you might know from the "wind Waker" for Gamecube. The story for "Phantom Hourglass" Picks up where "Wind Waker" left off, after you beat Ganandorf in "Wind Waker" and Save Princess Zelda, (also known as tetra the pirate who turned into Princess Zelda When She met some kind of power or spirit or somthing like that), Link and tetra Sail off looking for treasures, so in the begining of "Phantom Hourglass", you find yourself sailing with tetra when you come across a ghostly ship, (Ghost Ship), and right away, tetra suspects there is treasure aboard so she jumps across and then the ship starts to leave, so Link jumps across and grabs on to the rail, but he slips off, and you hear her voice in your head and she's asking you to save her. then you wake up on a beach and you meet a freind by the name of Ceila who is a fairy who guides you throughout your journey. Altogether, this game is fun and adventourus, it is a very long story so if you thought it was one of those games that have a short story and stink altogether, (*COUGH*starfoxds*COUGH*), you thought wrong, so I give this game a 5/5 beacause it is fun for all ages.

New DS!

I bet you can't guess by the title, i almost have enough money for a new DS Lite! i think its going to be the new silver one. I'm going to get "Mario Kart DS" with it to, (i know i already have it, but i lost it and I'm getting a new one, and when we find the old one, I'm going to give it to my brother). plus, in February, our boy scout troop is having our annual "E Camp out"! (I'm not sure if its annual, but we do have it every year). the E Camp out is the only camp out we get to bring electronics. and all of my Friends in the troop has a DS and Mario kart, so we have competitions and stuff.

Fottball Game 9/22/08

OK, so some of you might know that i play football for the waukee warriors, and if you didn't, well, you know now. anyway, we faced the Vally tigers on Monday the 22nd and we dominated them 35-0. so that makes us 2-2, (that means we won 2 and lost 2 in the season),
and it makes us 2-0 in the conference! it was a fun game, by the way, sorry i have't been posting latly, i've been.....well...lets say "busy".

I've Been Busy

sorry i haven't posted in a while, so I'll give the info of whats been going on since June 30Th.:

I've beat the whole game of twilight princess. it is an awesome game, but Gannondorf is way too easy to beat in the end. I'm defiantly getting "Orcainia of Time" when i get another WII points card.

My DS broke today..........:(.....but, I'll get another one sometime.

I will be attending the mic-o-say Pow wow for boy scouts this weekend in mosuri, (i know i spelled mosuri wrong), its like a camp out only its for mic-o-say and they help me figure out my Indian costume and stuff like that.

My aunt Kim is riding RAGBRAI this week. i was going to ride 1 day but i didn't get enough bike riding time in. (RAGBRAI is a bike ride across Iowa that takes a week). we our going to meet her today in ames, IA for a picnic.

And finally......The moment you've all been waiting for...drum role please....I am going to see "The Dark Knight" Tomorrow with my Dad! (tomorrow is Wednesday).

Summer Camp

I bet you could guess why I haven't been posting, (look at the title), I got back from boy scouts summer camp on saturday. It was AWESOME!!! Ok, I'll start from the begining. Ok, first I heard that I was elected for the order of the arrow, the order of the arrow is a service orginization through our councel, (we are in the mid-iowa councel), so to get into the order of the arrow, you have to complete an ordeal witch is basicly help with service projects and Keeping silent for 24 hours and stuff like that. So then we went to sunmmer camp in St. Joe Missouri. the name of the camp is camp gieger and their councel is the pony express councel. So from monday through thursday, we worked on merit badges and stuff like that, on thursday night, we went to the tap-out ceremony for Mic-O-Say, (Mic-osay is like the order of the arrow for the pony express councel), so we went to that and what they do is have a tapper, (the guy who picks the people to be tested for the tribe of mio-say..oh, did i tell you that its based on an indian tribe?), anyway, so they started the ceremony, and how the ceremony works, is they have everyone stand in a circle, and the tapper run on the inside of the circle and pick the canadates one by one and I was picked second! so i am in mic-o-say and i had to stay silent for 24 hours and help in service projects and run.....you run a lot. so thats preatty much it. it was a lot of fun.

Two New, (New to Me), Games!

yesterday, we went to gamers, (website: www.gogamers.com), and i got two new games for my PSP! the first one is "Star Wars Battlefront 2". this game is fun, but its kinda confusing, if you get enough points in battle, you can be the hero of your group. the hero of the group is like a more advanced charicter like a jedi or bounty hunter. i am still trying to figure out the rest of the game, but it is a fun game, it is rated "T For Teen".
the next game I got, is "Prince of Persia: Revelations", i got this game beacause we have the popsot, (Prince Of Persia Sands of Time), for the gamecube, and it is preaty violent, like your an araibian knight, so you have a sword. and this one I got for psp is rated "M For Mature", and normally I don't get "M" games, but my mom let me get this one, beacause we had the one for gamecube, (popsot is rated "T"), and once i played it, well, lets say that its preaty gory. so my mom made sure i blocked it from my little brothers and what i mean by "Blocked", i set up parental controls on my psp so nobody can play it without the password, witch hopefully, I'm the only one who knows it.

I"M HOME!!

I'm back! did you miss me? our campout was alot of fun, the first night we went on a small hike and we had alot of scouts that bridged over from cub scouts, so on the first hike, me and a couple of older scouts, (I'm an older scout also), went ahead of them, and we hid from the rest of the troop, and then when they werant looking, we left them behind, and went back to camp......I know you might be thinking that it was a bad idea, but the scoutmaster didn't care beacause we are the older scouts, then he said that it was his job to make sure that the newer scouts didn't get lost. so the next day we went on another hike that seemed long, but it wasn't bad, the trail was hilly, but I stayed up in the front most of the time. then that day, i got the rest of my star rank! WOOHOO!(it goes star, life then eagle), and i also re-earnd my totin' and fireman chit,(totin' means i can mess with knives, and fireman means i can build a fire), the only reason i had to re-earn them, was beacause i lost the old "cards", they give you cards when you earn them. after that, we got home, unpacked, showered, and then re-packed beacause we, (me and my brother jesse), went up to our grandma and grandpas house for a week! we helped grandpa clean out the bins, witch pays preatty well, ;) me and my brother both made enough money to get a WII!! its going to be sweet, but we have to pay for other stuff like boy scout dues and stuff like that. but we might get a wii,(80%). but, i'm glad to bii home.......wait........bii? i meant be, :s

Well, today me, my brother, and my dad are going on a campout for boy scouts, we are going to camp at camp mitigwa, (if you don't know what mitigwa is, well, i'll tell you about it later), we are going to sleep in tents, and we will have a cabin for if it rains, but otherwise we're in tents. we leave today, (3/28/08) and come home on sunday, (3/30/08), and then we are home!....but then we are going to go up to our granma and grandpa's house to help out cleaning bins, (just me and my brother), and then, we will be home....uhhh......later? we're not really sure when we'll be coming home, but we will be home. :)

The Best Rock Band Drummer, (As far as I know).

This Guy is Awesome at the drums on rock band, he is playing run to the hills on expert. way better than me, but only on drums. i don't know how good he is at the guitar beacause i can get 5 stars on hard on the guitar but this guy is awesome!

I'm kinda bored....could tech deck....i could watch a movie...man I'm bored...i might make another youtube video either about daxter or Lego star wars.....i don't know...our boy scout troop is having a campout on the 28-30 of march and I've still got a birthday gift to use...its 25 fandango bucks to the movies that my aunt gave me.....i might see a movie at the end of the month, (after the campout),.......i don't know what to see though....super hero movie looks funny..i might see that....my dad rented I Am Legend even though we saw it in the theatre....its an awesome movie but a little to violent for the Little boys.....well....thats about it.....Bye

Homeschool Meeting

today we got to skip school and meet some friends at our church's gym, (yes, our church has a gym). and we had a sandwich and some chips for lunch. then, me and jesse played a game of one on one basketball, game point 5, and I won, 5-0. and after that, we were all triying to make a half court shot. the ball always hit the backboard all the time, but I was the first,(and only), one to make the half court shot. it was a fun time.

PSP Story

If you've read my posts about "My Games List", you'll know that I have a PSP. well about auguest 07, It was a work day, (mom and dad work), and my dad was on his way home from work, witch was when mom was getting ready for work, and he said, "You will never guess what I found in the middle of the road", and I you are acually reading this, (not saying you aren't), you should know that what my dad was talking about, was a psp..in the road. so he got home, and since there are six boys in the house, we all huddled in by the door while dad was messing with the PSP and we found out that it came with a game. NFL 07. so were all like SWEET!! so I think the same day, we went to wal-mart to buy a charger for it beacause it was dead, and while we were there we found a 10 dollar game whitch was ATV blazing trails. so we got home, and we played it for a while, (oh, it also came with a 52mb memory card), so we loose intrest in it, (hey! It took over a week to loose intrest), so a week or two later, my dad went to work and when he got home, he said, "what are the odds of finding another psp?"......this is a true story, and once again, I came with a game and a memory card, but the game was fifa 07, (soccer), and the memory card was 1gb, so me and my first brother got them, and only one of the two is alive beacause my littler brother accedenely dropped it and it broke.

Tech Deck

Ok, since I'm Making a post about tech deck, don't think that I'm good at it,I can do an ollie, and a couple of flip tricks, other wise I'm still working on it. so the story is I've always had a few tech deck finger boards for about a year, and I really only got them beacause I thout they were cool. so after I got the first board, I played with it for a while, and that is when It got boring beacause I couldn't do anything with it except pretend to ride it like a skateboard. so I put it up for a while, and about three days ago I got one out and started playing with it and I was better than I thought, I mean I could make it flip it in the air, but I couldn't land it. so I worked on it, and i started landing some flip tricks. so then I went to the Tech Deck Website and they had toutourials of differant tricks including ollies, nollies, and flip tricks and stuff, so I started practicing the bascic ollie, (witch is when you jump in the air without grabbing the board, if you didn't already know that), so now I've got the ollie down and I'm working on some other tricks. If you want to visit the tech deck site, see the list of sites on the side of my blog. I'm going to make a video of me doing some tricks and I'm going post it.

My Birthday

Well, My birthday is coming up, (march 9th) and I will be 14 years old. And I don't know what to ask for. mom said that My present is my permit, (that is if I pass the test), and and a job......sounds fun don't it? at least the permit part does. last year I asked for an I-Pod, and I got it, but I had to pay for half of it. (I use it so much that I think that I wore the Battery down from 24 hours to 14 hours). I will problably just see a movie or somthing. but I would problably have to pay. enough about What I want. I have to think about what to get my mom, (or make). her birthday is march 6th. (she will be old!....just kidding).

Our Church's New Cross

Today Me, Ben, Jamie, and Dad, paraded behind a Big Cross That a Member of hope, ("lutheran Churh of Hope"), made out of a huge tree and it weighed over 4,000lbs and was hauled 11 miles to church. so by "paraded", "I mean walked behind while being hauled". They had a shuttle bus to carry us if we got tired or cold, (7 degrees), and school buses to go round trip the whole way if you couldn't make it. but being the boy scout/camper I am, I Walked With no trouble.....Until I remembered that jamie and ben were there. so, We walked 5 miles and then went back to church on a school bus. so we got to church and called mom........"Ben: where are my/mom's gloves?"......AWWW MMAAANNN!!! so we waited at church for about an hour until the cross came. so we stayed, saw the pastor bless the cross with oil, got mom's gloves and left for home. we got home and we all yelled "YYEEESSSS we are home!!!!" and then "ZZZZZZZZZZZ". so then. a Quarter of us watched a movie, two of us slept, and I Played the computer. so mom woke up and came back to the computer/moms bedroom and said, get ready. and I said "Why?", and she said, time for church.........WAH, WAH WWAAAAAAHHHHH!! any way if you want to read the article about the cross, go to this link.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare/DS/**---/ 2/5

Ok, If I Post a post about another war game for the nintendo ds, I should call my blog "Nintendo DS War Games and Tactics". But I'm not, anyway this new game I Got with some money I worked for, (yes, I worked Hard for it), It is called "Cal-" Just look at the post's name and you get it. The Game Is about war, (as you may see), It starts off at a training facility in......well somewhere in the middle east were you learn to use the controls, and at the end of training the is under attack and you have to escape and rendezvous
With troops in a different area that is pretty far away from the base, (that's where the "Humvee" comes in quite handy), but you don't control the Humvee, you shoot with the big guns on top, any way I'm not that far but the game is rated "T for TEEN" and Out of 5 stars I Give it 2 because..it's just not the best, NO WIFI, it could've been better, if they make a sequel, i might get it but this one isn't my favorite. oh! and the game is muliplayer single and multicard compatible.

Days of Ruin/WI-FI

I just got the new advance wars Days of ruin Is AWESOME!!!! (yes to any relatives who are reading this, I bought it:(....) anyway the game is better than I thought! I mean, At the moment, I ams stuck at a hard part, but that doesn't mean that I can't play it even though I'm stuck, I can Do WI-FI with it, (yes I figured out how to do WI-Fi with all of My wi-fi games). So since i figures out wi-fi, I have whooped some butt on Mario kart! and Zelda on wi-fi is alright, but Mario kart and days of ruin are better for wi-fi. Tony hawk downhill jam is cool too, I mean i use to shove that game in the corner for periods of time and forgot about it because after you win the whole game, It gets boring. we have tetris also, (I mean my mom has it), but I haven't tried its wi-fi, I sure my mom would whoop but on that one!! Plus my brother Jesse owns diddy Kong racing, but since he lost it, nobody has play it on wi-fi.

Advance Wars

This post that I am typing, is all about Advance Wars video games. So if you care nothing of video games, DO NOT READ!!!! (Just Kidding). Any way, let me start yo of in the beging. I started as a franchise for the "Gameboy Advance" systyms and has now moved to the "Ninitendo DS" Systym. there are four games in thins franchise, the first one is called "Advance Wars" and is for the "Gameboy Advance". It takes place as a normal war against the enimie aka: The black Hole army. the good guys have to defeat the bad guys and so on. but every mission you go through, black hole keeps getting more powerful every time. so now on to the 2nd game in this franchise, "Advance Wars: Black Hole rising". now as you can see, the name has a lot to do with the black hole army getting more powerful. in this game, the black hole army is back again trying to take over, (like most bad guys, they never give up!) so once again, if you beat the whole game, black hole loses. (To tell you the truth, I don't know much about the first two advance wars games :( but i would like to!) Anyway, now on to the 3rd game, (I do know a lot about this one), Like the first two games, black hole is back at it again in "Advance wars: Dual Strike". Except, this game is differrant in three ways, 1: this game has more, better, tank and air type vehicles including the Neotank,the megatank, and new airplanes like the bomber and a t copter (transporter copter). 2: this game is for the Nintendo DS, and 3: It has the abilitie to connect Wirelessly to do multiplayer, (NOT WI-FI), it has more charicters than the first two such as Rachel (in the 2nd game, Rachel's older sister was in Rachel's position in this game) And Jake who is a newbie at war. now on to the 4th and final (so far) game in this franchise, "Advance Wars: Days of Ruin", this game is the newist game so far, (so new that it dosn't come out until Jan. 21 of this year! my birthday is mar. 9, so if uuuhhh sssaaayyy any relitive is uuhh reading this, well, now you know what I want). Anyway, This game is about a young guy who is attending an ROTC acadamy whan the earth starts falling apart and meteors start slamming in to the earth, so the funny part is that the guy (his name is Will), gets trapped in the mess hall of the acadamy and he has to dig his way out wile living on "Canned Bread"................... Canned Bread? What the? Anyway I am not sure if it is black hole who is making this happen, but I know that the gam is multiplayer, and Wi Fi enabled. and there are a couple new units also, there is a new infantry unit on a bike, it can travel farther than an original infantry unit but that is about it, and when you are stuck in the fog, all you can see on the screen is like a few sqares in front of your unit, you can whip out the new "Flare" unit. It provides a large, bright light that will let you see farther than you normaly can for a few turns. well, that is me on all of the advance wars.
